Professional Supervision FAQs

Can I count these hours towards my required supervision hours?

I am not currently a Board-approved supervisor. As such, these sessions cannot be counted towards AHPRA supervision requirements for psychologists seeking general registration.

However, psychologists may be able to record these sessions as peer consultation/supervision and/or continuing professional development (CPD) activities, where appropriate. All registered psychologists are responsible for ensuring their professional development activities meet the requirements of the Psychology Board of Australia.

For professionals from other disciplines, please consult your relevant registration board, professional association, or employer regarding how these sessions may be recorded or recognised.

Can I discuss my caseload?

Yes you may discuss your current client/patient caseload if this aligns with your profession-specific ethical code of conduct. However, please keep all names and identifying details anonymised for confidentiality purposes.

How do I pay?

You pay for your appointment when you book via our online portal.

Am I eligible for the concession rate?

To be eligible to book at the concession rate, you must have a valid healthcare or pension card. This must be sighted by Ruby prior to booking.

Can I get a Medicare rebate?

No. As this is not a clinical service, it cannot be claimed on medicare.

Can I have an in-person session?

Currently, NeuroNest Psychology operates exclusively as an online service, meaning we do not have an office space for you to attend appointments in person. If you find an aspect of telehealth difficult, I encourage you to discuss it with us to see if we can problem solve around it. If unable to, we can refer to other services that offer similar services in-person.
