While this may sometimes be possible, it is not guaranteed due to Ruby's current limited availability to take on longer-term clients. The nature of this service is designed to be structured, time-limited and goal-orientated in order to avoid difficulties associated with the ending of a therapeutic relationship. However, we recognise transitioning to a new provider is still difficult and if you wish to speak about this further, please reach out.
You pay for your appointment when you book via our online portal. If you are claiming a Medicare rebate, a 'medicare compliant' payment receipt will be sent to you following your appointment for you to self-claim via MyMedicare through your MyGov account.
To be eligible to book at the concession rate, you must have a valid healthcare or pension card. This must be sighted by Ruby prior to booking.
Yes. You can get a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP) from your GP. Feel free to take this referral form to your GP. Please ensure the referral is in your name, not your child's.
Currently, I only accept referrals for individuals aged 16 years and over.
As all services are provided via telehealth, clients need to be comfortable using computer technology, able to participate in extended video appointments, and willing to complete online forms and electronic document signing. Parents, caregivers, or nominated representatives can assist with some administrative tasks where appropriate.
If your child is under 16 years of age, I am unfortunately unable to provide direct services. However, I do offer parent and caregiver support. You are welcome to seek support in your own right to discuss your concerns, better understand your child's needs, and explore strategies to support them at home, school, and in everyday life.
Currently, NeuroNest Psychology operates exclusively as an online service, meaning we do not have an office space for you to attend appointments in person. If you find an aspect of telehealth difficult, I encourage you to discuss it with us to see if we can problem solve around it. If unable to, we can refer to other services that offer similar services in-person.
